The FA Library. Hidden away in the bottom shelves (A CLUE!) of the FA library is this book. It’s a bad-ass book of Alchemy diagrams from the 17th century. It is amazing. So there. It’s one of the books I discovered this year in the FA lib. I’ve been spending a lot of time there working on my mini thesis. Other than graphic novels and graphic design books, they seriously have a lot of nice books (if you know where to look). HAHA. I recommend that you visit the restricted section. Yes, I know, it’s the restricted section but you can go in there if you ask permission. They even have a copy of The Art of The Lord of the Rings, from Fellowship of the Ring up to Return of the King. AND MORE GRAPHIC NOVELS. Be careful though, it’s quite dusty (I got allergies). Oh FA lib, you have special place in my heart. Facebook Twitter Pintrest 2 notes
One of the best Christmas gifts you can give your friend/child/relative/ or in this case, inaanak, is a GIFT CERTIFICATE FROM FULLY BOOKED. My ninang gave me some GCs this Christmas (THANK YOU), and I got myself a copy of Damned by Chuck Palahniuk, and Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. I’m supposed to be on this you-can’t-buy-books-because-you’re-hoarding ban. But it’s just soooo hard. I don’t know which book I should read first. I’m excited to read both of them. I am a bit nervous about the Miss Peregrine book, because the cover is beautiful but it’s quite creepy. Plus, Gan told me that the book does have a creepy factor too. Oh well. I should be doing my mini theses, but you know… BOOKS! Facebook Twitter Pintrest 1 note
Summer Break Day 3. It’s a small book pouch thinggy. You can’t put that much stuff in it, since it’s small. But it’s a nice place to store your receipts/cards/a phone/those old band-aid tins. Hardbound book cover (this one’s an old planner) Zipper Canvas (for the pouch itself) or any sturdy material. E-5000 glue (this stuff is awesome) Facebook Twitter 4 notes
I was reading the September 2011 issue of Rogue magazine when I came across this article on beautiful books by The Folio Society. If only I had a bajillion dollars, I could join and start collecting. *tear* http://www.foliosociety.com Photo taken from: http://www.rockpaperink.com/ Facebook Twitter Pintrest 2 notes
